Our Approach: Youth First

We aim to build youth capacity through a series of initiatives focusing on young people's roles as ICT Wayfarers (information and technology guides). We take a “youth-first” approach that integrates principles of youth development with Design Thinking and cultural probes to carry out co-design in the field. This approach involves engaging youth as equal partners in the research and design process, and engaging their families and community leaders.

“Globally, one in every 122 humans is now either a refugee, internally displaced, or seeking asylum.”
— UNHCR, UN Refugee Agency

We have reached our most sophisticated technological age, yet we are facing the worst humanitarian disaster since World War II: over 60 million people are displaced by crisis, half of whom are youth.

We aim to amplify young voices, spark imaginations and uncover perspectives that would otherwise remain hidden. We believe in connected learning, an educational approach for the digital age, where people learn from peers and mentors, and where learning is connected to everyday life.
